MUSIC AT MATRIX presents: The Carpathians - Sunday 28 April

Last time MUSIC AT MATRIX brought you strings - this time it’s a big band with brass and wind - and voice!

We are proud to announce The Carpathians, a big band who will introduce their instruments and perform a carefully thought-out set for adults and children aged 7+. Our singing teacher, Anna Shackleton, will be one of the singers taking the mic!

We are not a “traditional” big band and we play various styles of music, ranging from Blues, Funk, Jazz, Contemporary, Swing and the occasional ballad. Much of the music will be well known to the audience and we play a variety of music written especially for the band. We have two terrific vocalists, each bringing their own vocal style. The audience will find themselves tapping their feet along to the music and perhaps even singing along to some of the songs!

The Carpathians will play at Matrix Arts Centre on Sunday 28 April 4 - 5pm
