Group music teaching

Yamaha Music School group teaching

We are looking for a group music teacher to join our Yamaha Music School team - the national Yamaha auditions and training are this summer (dates tbc), with group lessons starting April 2024. You may wish to consider joining our team as an individual teacher first (see below).

You should be a fine pianist who loves working with children. It is not essential to have prior teacher training or experience before you apply. Yamaha Music Schools UK provides high quality training for the teaching method together with group teaching techniques - in fact, we are not aware that such high level group teacher training is currently available outside Yamaha.

We are particularly looking for a Saturday teacher but there is the possibility to build up hours to further days over time.

Please click the button below to see more about the Yamaha courses we offer, then contact us for more information. If you go onto the ‘Junior Music Course’ page you can watch a video.

Look at those happy faces! It could be you...

Teach with us

Yamaha Music School individual piano teaching

We are looking to recruit one or two piano teachers to join our friendly team to help with our individual piano lesson provision.

We would initially like to cover Thursday, Friday and Saturday teaching in September, but further hours can build up as wished. Most of your students will be continuing group lesson curriculum alongside your individual sessions or be graduates of our courses.

We would be very happy to receive your CV with covering letter - please include your availability.

Private instrumental teachers

We rent rooms for private instrumental tuition at extremely competitive rates and hold Associated Board music examinations and Yamaha Music Foundation examinations usually around twice a year. Our pianos are tuned regularly, our facilities are of a very high standard and the hall is available for our teachers to hold student concerts.

Please email us your CV together with a covering letter.

We are particularly interested to hear from individual teachers of the following instruments who would like to teach privately here, or become part of the Yamaha Music School team:

Piano - to support our Yamaha Music School

Brass

Woodwind

Strings, especially cello

We look forward to hearing from you!

Art teachers

We run KS2 and KS3 Visual Arts Courses and welcome interest from additional art teachers.

Please email us your CV together with a covering letter.

We look forward to hearing from you!
